Compliance Report
|
A Compliance document is automatically produced by
SBEM. The compliance document has been designed as a complete summary of
compliance information for the project. The document consists of the following
sections.
- Administrative
information: The
Building details and the
Certifier details appear under
Administrative information section
exactly as entered in the
Project Tab. Also, the
Certification tool
details of the calculation engine (Government SBEM
tool) and the Energy Simulation interface program (PartL) appear under
Administrative information section.
- Emissions
and energy consumption: The building's estimated CO2 emission rate
(BER) and the target CO2 emission rate (TER) in kg/m2 .year appear under
Emissions and energy consumption. It states whether the building's emission
rate is less than or equal to the target value. If relevant for the Building
Regulations, it also includes information about the building's calculated
primary energy rate (BPER) and the target primary energy rate (TPER) in kWh/m2
.year, and it states whether the building's primary energy rate is less than or
equal to the target value. Similarly, if relevant for the Building Regulations,
it includes information about the building's calculated delivered energy rate
(BDER) and the target delivered energy rate (TDER) in kWh/m2 .year, and it
states whether the building's delivered energy rate is less than or equal to
the target value.
- Fabric
and building services
- The Fabric and building services section
contains information about the building fabric, including the construction
U-values, air permeability, and the building services systems. Then, the report
states whether the building's U-values are better than the design limits for
each construction type, whether the air permeability of the building is better
than the worse acceptable standard, and whether any of the relevant building
services parameters exceed the limiting standards in the Approved Documents.
- Solar
gains - Solar gains section contains information about whether the
solar gains limit is exceeded in each of the zones where the solar gains check
is applicable.
- Regulation 25A
- Regulation 25A section covers the consideration of alternative energy
systems, as defined in Regulation 25A, in the new building design.
- Technical
Data Sheet (Actual Vs. Notional Building) - Displays some
information about the overall energy performance of the building (Actual and
Notional) and some specific information on the HVAC systems in the building
(Actual and Notional). It also lists some general information, such as the
weather location of the building and the percentages of total building floor
area occupied by the different activity types.
- Key
Features - Highlights any items in the building fabric definitions
whose specification is better than typically expected values and to which,
according to the Approved Documents, Building Control is advised to give
particular attention. (This section is no longer included for England's Part L
calculations.)

Energy Report
|
An Energy report document is automatically produced
by SBEM. The energy report document has been designed as a complete summary of
the energy performance for the project. The document consists of the following
sections.
- Whole building
carbon dioxide performance – Summary of the CO2 emission rate for the notional
building, along with the target emission rate (TER) and the actual building
emissions rate (BER).
- Building energy by
end use – Provides a graph detailing the annual breakdown of the energy
consumed by each of the building services.
- Building monthly
energy by end use – Provides a graph detailing the monthly breakdown of the
energy consumed by each of the building services.
- Building systems
energy – Provides a monthly breakdown of the energy consumption of each of the
building services along with the annual totals.

Data Reflection Report (Actual)
|
A Data reflection report for the actual building
is automatically produced by SBEM. This report contains all the data that SBEM
uses to calculate the energy performance of the actual building along with some
general details about the building. The document consists of the following
sections,
- General details
- Building fabric
details
- All systems other
than HVAC (DHW, PVC, SES, CHP)
- HVAC system
(repeated for each HVAC system)
- Rooms in this HVAC
system
- Surface data in this
room

Data Reflection Report (Notional)
|
A Data reflection report for the notional building
is automatically produced by SBEM. This report contains all the data that SBEM
uses to calculate the energy performance of the notional building along with
some general details about the building. The document consists of the following
sections,
- General details
- Building fabric
details
- All systems other
than HVAC (DHW, PVC, SES, CHP)
- HVAC system
(repeated for each HVAC system)
- Rooms in this HVAC
system
- Surface data in this
room
